Welcoming a newborn into the family is one of the most exhilarating, but also exhausting times for a family. While planning ahead for your newborn photography session is key, flexibility is also a must. We all know little ones arrive when they choose, so setting a date isn't always easy. The best timeframe for a newborn is between 1 to 2 weeks old. Preparing with your photographer a couple months in advance is best practice, as they need time to prepare and gather ideas with you on what you want the images to look like. Do you like pink? or do you want purple? Do you want a dinosaur theme or no theme at all? Will they need a new prop? Are they going to build one? Yes, I have built many newborn props for my babies. The moon pictured below was made by yours truly. You get much more than a few hours of shooting when it comes to a newborn photography session with me.
